Procedure Description

NUVIJU is a cholic acid–based fat-reduction injection developed by Medytox and approved for improving moderate to severe submental (under-chin) fat. It is injected into areas of fat accumulation to reduce fat cells, helping to refine a double chin and an undefined jawline. Options include NUVIJU alone (1 or 2 vials, 1 or 3 sessions) and V-line Duo, Tight, Cut and Lift combinations that add jaw botulinum toxin (Coretox 50U), Onda 40,000 J or CoolSoniq 3,000/5,000 shots. At Sia Clinic Daejeon, fat volume, masseter development and skin laxity are assessed together to design the right plan.

STEP 1.

Consultation and assessment: Chin fat, masseter and laxity are checked to choose the plan.

STEP 2.

Design and disinfection: The injection area is marked and disinfected.

NUVIJU injection: The planned dose is evenly distributed into the fat layer.

STEP 4.

Combination (optional): Jaw toxin, Onda or CoolSoniq is performed per the chosen plan.

STEP 5.

Soothing and guidance: A cold pack is applied and swelling care is explained.

Precautions

Swelling, warmth, tightness or bruising may occur and usually subsides within a few days to a week.

How long does swelling last?

The area may be swollen and tight for several days, typically settling within a few days to a week. The degree and duration vary by individual.
