Thread lifting with absorbable cone threads to lift sagging cheeks and jawline

Procedure Description

Silhouette Soft is a lifting thread with absorbable cones placed at intervals along it. The cones support the subcutaneous tissue to lift sagging areas, and as the thread and cones are gradually absorbed they are known to help stimulate collagen in the surrounding tissue. Options include Silhouette Soft 4 threads alone, Silhouette Soft 2 or 4 threads combined with 8 Mint threads for added support, and a plan including 6 minutes of LDM. All options include LED regenerating light and a modeling mask. At Sia Clinic Daejeon, insertion points and thread count are designed according to the direction and degree of sagging, and single threads can be added on the same day after consultation.

STEP 1.

Consultation and design: Sagging is assessed and insertion points and thread count are planned.

STEP 2.

Disinfection and anesthesia: The area is disinfected and local anesthesia applied.

STEP 3.

Thread insertion: Silhouette Soft (and Mint threads per plan) is inserted along the planned vectors and anchored.

STEP 4.

Symmetry check: Balance is checked and fine-tuned.

STEP 5.

Recovery care: LED light and a modeling mask (plus LDM per plan) calm the skin.

Precautions

Swelling, bruising, tightness or temporary dimpling at insertion sites may occur and usually ease within 1–2 weeks.

For about 2–4 weeks, avoid opening your mouth very wide and strong facial massage or pressure.

Avoid saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise for 1 week after treatment.

Please tell us beforehand about blood-thinning medication, pregnancy or skin inflammation.

FAQ

How is Silhouette Soft different from Mint threads?

Silhouette Soft uses cones to support tissue, while Mint threads are PDO-type barbed (cog) lifting threads. Using both can complement lift and support, so a combination may be recommended depending on the degree of sagging.

How long do results last?

Support and collagen stimulation occur while the threads absorb, and duration depends on skin thickness, degree of sagging and lifestyle. Results vary by individual, and an expected range is explained at consultation.

How painful is the procedure?

Local anesthesia is used to reduce discomfort, though you may feel some pulling when the threads are lifted. Sensations vary by individual.
