Procedure Description

Mint Thread is an absorbable PDO lifting thread with barbs (cogs) on its surface that engage the subcutaneous tissue to lift sagging cheeks and jawline. Ultra V involves inserting multiple PDO-type threads closely together to help improve skin firmness and texture. Mint Thread is available in 4, 8, 12 or 16 threads depending on the extent of sagging, and can be combined as 8 Mint threads with 2cc of domestic filler when volume loss is also a concern. Ultra V is offered as a 30-thread plan. At Sia Clinic Daejeon, thread count and insertion points are designed after assessing sagging direction and skin thickness.

Procedure Process

STEP 1.

Consultation and design: Sagging is assessed and thread type, count and insertion points are decided.

STEP 2.

Disinfection and anesthesia: The area is disinfected and local anesthesia applied.

STEP 3.

Thread insertion: Threads are inserted along the planned vectors and anchored.

STEP 4.

Filler (optional): Filler is injected into hollow areas when included.

STEP 5.

Symmetry check and soothing: Balance is checked and the area calmed.

Precautions

Swelling, bruising, tightness or temporary dimpling may occur and usually ease within a few days to 2 weeks.

For about 2–4 weeks, avoid opening your mouth very wide and strong facial massage or pressure.

Avoid saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise for 1 week after treatment.

Please tell us beforehand about blood-thinning medication, pregnancy or skin inflammation.
