Procedure Description

Acne scars vary in depth, shape and the degree of fibrous tethering beneath the skin, which makes them difficult to address with a single treatment. The Intensive Scar Program is a weekly program that releases tethering with subcision at scar sites, renews the surface with Pico Fraxel and Erbium Fraxel, and supports dermal renewal and texture with Secret RF and Genesis, each placed in a planned weekly order. The BASIC 9-week plan includes two sessions of Pico Fraxel + subcision + Juvelook Skin 2 cc, plus Erbium Fraxel. The SIGNATURE 10-week plan increases subcision to three sessions and alternates Pico Fraxel and Erbium Fraxel to address both scars and pores. Both plans support recovery with cryo regenerative care, LDM regenerative care and LED regenerative light, with a progress check in the final week. STEP 4.

Renewal treatments: In between, Genesis and Secret RF support dermal renewal and texture.

STEP 5.

Recovery care: Cryo and LDM regenerative care and LED regenerative light support healing.

STEP 6.

Progress check: Changes are reviewed in the final week, with guidance on next steps.

How do BASIC 9 Weeks and SIGNATURE 10 Weeks differ?

BASIC is a 9-week plan with two sessions of Pico Fraxel + subcision + Juvelook Skin and one session of Erbium Fraxel. SIGNATURE is a 10-week plan that increases subcision to three sessions, alternates Pico Fraxel and Erbium Fraxel, and places two Juvelook Skin sessions with Secret RF and Genesis more densely to address both scars and pores.

What is subcision?

Subcision uses a fine needle or special instrument to release the fibrous bands beneath depressed scars that pull the skin downward. Releasing this tethering helps the depressed area lift and supports subsequent renewal treatments such as Fraxel. The degree of improvement may vary by individual.

Will my scars be completely gone after the program?

The goal for acne scars is to reduce their depth and extent so they are less noticeable, rather than to erase them completely. Results vary depending on scar type, depth and skin healing capacity, and we will advise on further care after the final-week progress check.
