Tailored scar care: subcision for depressed scars, Secret RF for pores, sebaceous glands and texture

Procedure Description

Subcision uses a fine needle or cannula to release the fibrous bands pulling the base of depressed scars downward, and PDRN is injected into the released space to support tissue regeneration. Depending on scar extent, it is performed on an area the size of a coin up to the full face, in 1 or 3 sessions. Secret RF delivers radiofrequency energy into the dermis through micro-needles to help improve firmness around pores and skin texture. You can also choose Secret sebaceous-gland treatment or a combination of Secret RF with 3cc of baby injection (skin booster). Every option includes cryo regeneration care, and at Sia Clinic Daejeon we assess scar depth together with pores and sebum to combine treatments.

STEP 1.

Consultation & diagnosis: Scar depth and extent, pores and sebum are assessed to select treatment.

STEP 2.

Cleansing & numbing: Numbing cream is applied, with local anesthesia added for subcision if needed.

STEP 3.

Subcision & PDRN: Fibrous bands under depressed scars are released and PDRN is injected.

STEP 4.

Secret RF: If selected, micro-needle RF is applied area by area.

STEP 5.

Cryo regeneration care: The treated area is soothed and home-care tips are provided.

Precautions

Swelling, bruising or temporary firmness may follow subcision and usually settles within 1–2 weeks.

Do not rub or press the area, and avoid saunas, alcohol and strenuous exercise for 1–2 days.

Let us know in advance if you take anticoagulants or aspirin, are prone to keloids or are pregnant.

Apply sunscreen diligently and resume irritating products only after the skin has calmed.

FAQ

Which scars is subcision suited to?

It is mainly used for tethered depressed scars, such as rolling scars that flatten when the skin is stretched or boxcar scars with an adhered base. Narrow, deep ice-pick scars may need other treatments, which we explain after diagnosis.

What is Secret sebaceous-gland treatment?

It applies micro-needle RF from the Secret device at the depth of the sebaceous glands to help manage excess sebum and recurring acne. The degree and duration of sebum reduction vary by individual.

Should I choose 1 or 3 sessions?

Scars and pores usually improve gradually over repeated sessions, so we generally recommend 3 or more. For shallow, small scars, you may decide after seeing how one session goes. Results vary by individual.
