Vaccination
Gardasil 9 vaccination for protection against nine HPV types
Procedure Description
Gardasil 9 is a vaccine to help prevent infection with nine types of human papillomavirus (HPV): 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58. It is given to help prevent certain HPV-related cancers such as cervical cancer, precancerous lesions and genital warts. Eligible ages and the schedule (generally 3 doses at 0, 2 and 6 months, with a 2-dose schedule possible depending on age) are explained at consultation according to approved guidelines. The vaccine does not treat existing HPV infection and does not protect against all types, so regular screening should continue after vaccination. At Sia Clinic Daejeon, your health is checked in a pre-vaccination screening.
