Prescriptions

Prescriptions issued only when a doctor judges them necessary after consultation

Procedure Description

Prescriptions are issued for concerns such as weight management, acne, hair loss and melasma only when a doctor examines you in person and judges medication to be medically necessary. Whether a prescription is given, and the type, dose and duration, are decided based on the consultation, and a prescription may not be issued. All medicines can have side effects, so at Sia Clinic Daejeon we check your health, current medications, allergies and pregnancy or breastfeeding status before prescribing, and explain how to take the medicine and what to watch for. Prescribed medicine is for your use only; please follow the directions.

FAQ

Will I always get a prescription after consultation?

No. A prescription is issued only if the doctor judges it medically necessary; depending on your condition, lifestyle advice or other treatment may be suggested instead.

When will the medicine start to work?

It depends on the medicine and condition, and both effects and side effects vary from person to person. The doctor will explain the expected course and when to return.

Can I have a consultation along with a treatment?

Yes. Concerns such as acne and melasma are often managed alongside treatments. The doctor will decide whether and in what order they can be combined.
