Prescription

Prescribed only when necessary after a doctor's examination

About Procedure

About Prescription

Prescription is a consultation for concerns such as weight management, acne, hair loss and melasma, in which medication is prescribed only when a doctor has personally examined you and determined that it is medically necessary.

Whether to prescribe, as well as the type of medication, dosage and duration, are decided based on the examination, and depending on your condition, we may instead recommend other approaches such as lifestyle management or treatments without a prescription. Since all medications carry a possibility of side effects, we fully explain how to take them and the precautions.

Before prescribing, Sia Clinic Daejeon checks your health status, current medications, allergies and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and designs personalized care, monitoring your progress through follow-up visits when needed.

FAQ

FAQ

Q.  Will I always be prescribed medication if I have a consultation?
No. Medication is prescribed only when the doctor determines after examination that it is medically necessary, and depending on your condition, we may recommend lifestyle management or other treatments without a prescription.
Q.  When does the medication start to work?
It depends on the type of medication and the symptoms, and effects and side effects may vary from person to person. We will explain the expected course and follow-up timing during your consultation.
Q.  Can I be seen together with a treatment?
Concerns such as acne and melasma are often managed together with treatments. The doctor will assess and advise on whether they can be combined and in what order during your consultation.
Q.  What should I do if side effects occur while taking the medication?
If you notice unusual symptoms, stop taking the medication and contact the clinic right away. After checking your symptoms, the doctor will advise you on what to do next.
