Radiesse

Radiesse

Volume from CaHA, followed by ongoing collagen production

About Procedure

About Radiesse

Radiesse is an injectable in which CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite) microparticles are suspended in a gel carrier. It is used to add volume to hollow areas and to stimulate collagen production within the skin.

Its characteristic dual action is that the gel creates a certain amount of volume right after injection, after which collagen production continues around the CaHA particles. It is used not only on the face but also on areas such as the back of the hands, where thin skin reveals veins and tendons.

At Sia Clinic Daejeon, we plan 1–3 syringes per session and 1 or 2 sessions depending on the area and degree of hollowness, and hand Radiesse and packages combined with Sculptra are also available after consultation.

How It Works

STEP01

Consultation & diagnosis — We check the area and degree of hollowness to determine the number of syringes

STEP02

Design & numbing — Injection sites are marked and numbing is performed

STEP03

Radiesse injection — Injected evenly at the appropriate depth

STEP04

Shape check — If needed, the area is smoothed and symmetry is checked

FAQ

FAQ

Q.  How is Radiesse different from Sculptra and Juvelook Volume?
Radiesse contains CaHA, Sculptra contains PLLA, and Juvelook Volume contains PDLLA and hyaluronic acid. Radiesse provides a certain amount of volume right after injection followed by collagen production, while Sculptra and Juvelook Volume tend to build up gradually over time.
Q.  Can it be used on the back of the hands?
Yes, hand Radiesse is performed with a total of 2 syringes for both hands and is used to restore volume on the backs of hands where thin skin reveals veins and tendons. Suitability is decided after examination.
Q.  Can it be dissolved like hyaluronic acid fillers?
Radiesse has a different composition from hyaluronic acid fillers, so it cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase. For this reason, we carefully determine the design and dose before treatment.
Q.  How long do the results last?
The duration depends on the dose, area and skin condition, and varies by individual. We will explain the expected range during your examination.
