Sculptra

Sculptra

Slowly restoring volume over wide areas with PLLA

About Procedure

About Sculptra

Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injectable containing PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid). It breaks down gradually in the skin and supports the body's own collagen production, and is used to improve volume and elasticity in hollow areas.

Its characteristic is that changes appear gradually over weeks to months rather than right after injection, and it is mainly chosen to address volume loss over wide areas such as the whole face. Following the massage instructions after treatment is important for even settling.

At Sia Clinic Daejeon, we plan 0.5 or 1 vial per session and 1 or 3 sessions depending on the degree and extent of hollowness, and packages combined with Radiesse are also available after consultation.

FAQ

FAQ

Q.  How is Sculptra different from fillers?
Hyaluronic acid fillers add volume immediately in proportion to the amount injected, whereas with Sculptra, PLLA stimulates collagen production so volume builds up gradually over time.
Q.  How is it different from Juvelook Volume and Radiesse?
Sculptra contains PLLA, Juvelook Volume contains PDLLA and hyaluronic acid, and Radiesse contains CaHA. Sculptra is mainly considered for gradually filling wide areas and Radiesse when a certain amount of volume is needed right after injection; we will advise after examination based on the area and goal.
Q.  Why is massage needed after treatment?
It helps the injected product distribute evenly and reduces clumping. We will explain the massage method and duration in detail after treatment.
Q.  How long do the results last?
Volume changes appear over several months, and the duration depends on the dose, skin condition and lifestyle, varying by individual.
